Enrollment Steps

Back

Seminole State College uses an on-line computer registration system which greatly reduces the time needed to enroll. Students begin their enrollment in the Registrar's Office in the Tanner Hall Administration Building

Step-by-step procedures for officially enrolling at Seminole State College are:

STEP ONE

Complete Admission Requirements which includes providing the following information:

a. High school transcript, showing date of graduation, or proof high school class has graduated.

b. All regularly enrolled students are encouraged to take the ACT test. ACT scores cannot be more than five-years-old. If a regularly enrolled student has not taken the ACT test then placement tests will be required.

c. If transferring from another institution of higher education, an official transcript from that institution and all other colleges previously attended.

NOTE: No student is officially enrolled until all required records indicated above are on file. Failure to provide these records in a timely manner may result in a cancellation of enrollment or a delay in future enrollment or transfer.

STEP TWO

Fill out an Application for Admission form.

STEP THREE

Meet with a counselor in the Student Affairs area to obtain assistance in working out a schedule and determine any need for placement testing.   The counselor will determine if one or more student placement exams must be taken (all first-time freshmen students are subject to placement testing to ensure proper course selection). The counselor must approve the enrollment after a schedule is developed. Students receiving benefits from the Veterans Administration should report to the Coordinator of Veterans Affairs for an enrollment check.

STEP FOUR

Take approved enrollment form to Admissions for enrollment. A printout will be provided showing the class schedule and the amount due for tuition and fees.

Proceed to the Business Office to pay fees and receive a campus parking permit.
