Welcome to the financial aid loan application process! We believe the on-line loan application process is the best way to apply for your student loan. If needed read instructions (pdf) for applying for loan.
Seminole State College Loan Requirements:
- If you are applying for a loan for the first time & did not complete Online Loan Entrance Counseling from the previous page, please complete it now. Then continue with this application.
- Student must be enrolled in at least 6 college hours.
- Student can not be in default on any loans.
- Students with an existing GPA must have a cumulative 2.0 or higher. Transfer students must have on file an official transcript from all previously attended institutions before loans will be processed.
- Academic progress will be monitored: passing grades for loans are A, B, or C. A student failing a class or classes at the time SSC receives the loan funds will NOT be eligible for the loan funds until passing grades are verified in every class.
- A student MAY drop a class PRIOR to SSC receipt of the loan funds with the understanding that the loan amount could change.
- If charges against the loan have been made, the amount charged must be paid prior to disbursement of the loan funds to the student.
- Students leaving school will be required to complete the Online Exit Counseling. Failure to do so will result in a hold being placed on your academic transcript.
