On behalf of the team who is reviewing the most current data submissions (Jessica Isaacs, Kelli McBride, Mary Ann Hill, Yashanda Scruggs, and myself), please accept our sincere appreciation of everyone who has worked diligently over the past 16 months to gather data for the Self-Study for Accreditation - as well as those who came on board recently to assist with the task. After a series of meetings totaling 35 hours over the past week, the team has completed reviewing the Five Criterion, the Response to the 17 Concerns from the 2000 site visit, and the Federal Compliance section.
With the exception of a few individuals who have already been contacted, the data gathering task for the Criterion Team members is now concluded.
As Jessica begins crafting the next rough draft of the Report, a group of volunteers will begin filling in the gaps revealed during the submissions review process. In addition, I will conclude the work associated with responding to the three Challenges from the 2000 visit, and Marta Osby will finish the Institutional Snapshot.
I am meeting with the Documents and Technology Team next week. Together, we will devise a plan for that team to finish the task (previously assigned to the Criterion committees) of compiling, inventorying, and preparing for inclusion into the Report, all the supporting documents used by the Criterion committees. While most of these documents probably already exist on the S drive, the Docs/Tech team may still need to gather some documents from the various Criterion committee members. Please be prepared to help them with expedite their task.
I do ask, as the committees' formal work is now concluded, that the leaders of the committees who have not submitted their team meeting minutes will do so very soon. As you are aware, those minutes serve as our formal documentation that this process included multiple constituencies across campus, which we must demonstrate to the HLC. We need to make the minutes a matter of public record by posting them to our HLC website as soon as possible.
Again, thank you very much for your participation in this important process. I will provide additional updates as we progress.
