Membership affords students many social and educational opportunities which the institution deems appropriate and rewarding for college students. Psi Beta, the national honor society in psychology for community colleges. offers professional development of psychology students in two-year colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service.

The purposes of the Society shall be educational, literary, and charitable. The Society shall strive for high achievement in English language and literature in two-year institutions of higher education, achieve cultural stimulation on college campuses and to promote interest in literature and English language in the surrounding communities. The Society also sponsors an literary and art anthology publication titled "The Muse" in both print and online version. Online version is accessible from the SSC homepage.
NASA - Native American Student Association
NASA exists to provide fellowship and support to Native American students, to organize activities that will educate others about Native American culture, history and life, to identify educational and career opportunities and resources for Native American students, to network with other Native American associations, and to give back to the surrounding communities as we welcome new generations to the college experience. The Student Government Association is dedicated to promoting the interests of the total student body by formulating and proposing ideas to the Seminole State College administration for the improvement of the college. We strive to encourage and promote student participation in the planning and implementation of college activities and to serve as an open forum for the discussion of issues that impact students of SSC.

FUTURE BUSINESS LEADERS OF AMERICA
Future Business Leaders of America has more than 250,000 members worldwide and is the largest student run organization in the United States.
