A great education can help you achieve your dreams.
You can do it, and here's how |
Upward Bound is a federally funded program
designed to provide participants with the skills and motivation necessary
for success in secondary and post secondary education. It is housed
at Seminole State College in Seminole, Oklahoma. We create
a college atmosphere for our students, by making the program educational,
innovative and fun!
Upward Bound serves 65 students in grades 9 through
12. The participants are selected from an eligible pool of over 1000
area high school students. Selected students are expected to commit
to participating fully in all activities and classes.

Upward Bound is a structured experience that provides
participants with many opportunities for academic and personal growth.
It provides a variety of activities throughout
the academic year and during the summer. Academic year activities include
Saturday meetings at Seminole State College designed to challenge and
motivate the willing learner. In
addition, throughout the school year, the Program staff provides academic,
career, and personal development activities at the participant's school.
The Summer Residential Program is a six-week program
that simulates a college-going experience. Participants live in the
SSC Residential Learning Center, attend classes throughout the day,
