From: Deanna Miles Sent: Monday, April 11, 2022 2:02 PM To: AllFacultyStaffGroup; All Students Subject: Campus COVID Weekly Update Hello Campus, We are back to ZERO reported cases of isolation or quarantine for COVID-19 as of Monday, April 11th, 2022 (on campus). I will be switching to a format of reporting new news about treatments, vaccinations, and testing in our local area from now until the Summer Semester. I want to keep you updated, but not overload you with superfluous information. You can still call my phone number found at the bottom of this email and fill out the COVID report form if you are in the process of (A) getting tested, (B) you have tested positive, or (C) you are on quarantine. SSCOK COVID-19 Report Form: https://www.sscok.edu/covid19/Covidform.html COVID-19 Test-to-Treat Program Here is information about the COVID-19 Test to Treat Program developed by the office of the US Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response. Antivirals work BEST when given within 48 hours of symptom onset or testing positive because these antiviral medications limit the number of times the virus can infect your cells and thus limit the amount the virus can replicate. This reduces your risk of severe disease and hospitalization as well as reduces your ability to infect those around you (reduces infectiousness). Have a plan in place now to get treatment quickly and effeciently. Test to Treat Program The new nationwide Test to Treat initiative provides quick access to free treatment for COVID-19. Through this program, people can get tested and – if they are positive and treatments are appropriate for them – receive a prescription from a health care provider, and have their prescription filled all at one location. These "One-Stop Test to Treat" sites are available at hundreds of locations nationwide, including pharmacy-based clinics, federally qualified health centers, and long-term care facilities. People can continue to be tested and treated by their own health care providers who can appropriately prescribe these oral antivirals at locations where the medicines are distributed. A call center 1-800-232-0233 is available every day from 8:00 am to midnight ET (7:00 am to 11:00pm CT) to get help in more than 150 other languages. The Disability Information and Access Line is available to help people with disabilities access services.
