Three SSC Teams Compete in Regional Tournaments

The SSC women’s soccer team, softball team and baseball team all competed in NJCAA tournaments over the weekend. This marks the first time in the College’s history where three major sports teams competed at the exact same time for regional titles across the state. The women soccer’s team competed in Enid, the softball team competed in Muskogee and the baseball team competed in Woodward.

The Trojan baseball team, led by Head Coach Mack Chambers, finished as runners-up in the NJCAA Region II Tournament in Woodward. The Trojans battled back from a Thursday loss to beat Rose State, NEO and Conners before losing to the regional champions Eastern Oklahoma State College.es on Sunday to clinch the title.
The Trojans soccer team won the NJCAA Region II Soccer Tournament in Enid. After falling behind to Rose State by two goals in the title match, the team rallied to win with a final score of 3-2. The team will move on to the NJCAA National Tournament on June 4 in Evans, Georgia. The team is led by Head Coach Dan Hill and Assistant Coach Chely Flores.  
The Trojans softball team won the Region II tournament in Muskogee, qualifying for the NJCAA National Tournament in Yuma, Arizona on May 25. Head Coach Amber Flores was named Region II Coach of the Year and sophomore Shea Moreno, of Sacramento, California, was named the tournament’s MVP. The Trojans won three back-to-back games on Sunday to clinch the title.
