Seminole State College is pleased to host the 35th annual East Central Oklahoma Regional Science and Engineering Fair. We are anticipating another outstanding fair, and we look forward to your participation.

The following items must be in the hands of the regional fair director by the February 29, 2008, deadline:

  • Form 1A
  • Form 1B
  • Checklist for Adult Sponsor form
  • Any other certification form required for the project
  • Abstract for grades 7-12 or a summary for grades 4-6
  • $5.00 entry fee per project.

WHAT IS A SCIENCE FAIR?

A science fair is a collection of exhibits each of which demonstrate the use of the scientific method to investigate a scientific phenomenon, principle, development or laboratory procedure.

WHO MAY ENTER THE FAIR?

All students, in grades 4-12, who have been designated as one of the top 15 winners in their divisions at a local qualifying fair in one of the following counties are eligible to compete in the East Central Oklahoma Regional Science & Engineering Fair: Coal, Okfuskee, Pontotoc, Pottawatomie, Hughes and Seminole counties.

Competitors in grades 7-12 will compete for the opportunity to participate in the Oklahoma State Science & Engineering Fair, to be held at East Central University, Ada, March 27-29.

At least one competitor, in grades 9-12, will earn the opportunity to compete at the International Science & Engineering Fair to be held in Atlanta, Georgia, May 11-17, 2008.
