In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Seminole State College will host a special MLK program on campus Wednesday, January 16.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Ashley Peden<\/p><\/div>\n

The event will feature guest speaker Ashley Peden, Director of Corporate Communications for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The event will begin at 10:05 a.m. inside the Jeff Johnston Fine Arts Center on campus and is free and open to the public.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With over 10 years of experience in the public relations industry, Peden has expertise in strategic planning, media relations, crisis management and community relations.<\/p>\n

She currently leads the day-to-day and long-term strategic communications efforts for the Oklahoma City Thunder.<\/p>\n

During her career, Peden has led innovative and strategic PR campaigns, media tours, press conferences, public affairs and marketing communication efforts for CSE\u2019s Public Relations corporate clients, including: AT&T, NCAA, Major League Soccer, Feld Entertainment, and The Atlanta Hawks. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Prior to joining the Thunder, Peden led and supported many consumer campaigns in-house for The PGA of America, CSE, St. John & Partners, Moroch Partners, Greenville Drive (MLB), and Jeff Dezen Public Relations.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University.<\/p>\n

This event is being organized by the Native American Serving Non-tribal Institutions (NASNTI) Program in collaboration with the SSC Belles Basketball Team and the Campus Activity Board.
