The event recognizes accomplishments by alumni, employees and students.<!--more--><\/p>\n\n\n<p>SSC alumni\nCarlos James, Johnathan Russell and Darlene Wallace will be inducted into the\nSSC Alumni Hall of Fame. Recipients are selected for their achievements while\nattending the college and contributions they have made in their professional\ncareers. Nominations are accepted each year from faculty, staff, members of the\nSSC Educational Foundation and the public for induction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"388\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/carlosjames.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1184\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/carlosjames.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/carlosjames-232x300.jpg 232w, https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/carlosjames-39x50.jpg 39w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption><strong>Carlos James<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>James, head\nbaseball coach at Arkansas Pine Bluff University, played outfield for SSC in\nthe 1991 and 1992 seasons, reaching the NJCAA College World Series in both\nseasons and then went on to play baseball for the University of Arkansas. From\n2005 to 2008, James worked for the Seattle Mariners as an Associate Scout. He\ntook the head baseball coach position at Arkansas Pine Bluff University in\n2010. Russell is President and founder of\nLand Run Commercial Real Estate Advisors, a commercial real estate development\nfirm, based in Oklahoma City. For nearly two decades, Land Run Commercial has\ndeveloped and renovated buildings in markets ranging from the metropolitan\nareas of Oklahoma City and Dallas to small, remote markets such as Boswell, Oklahoma\nand Show Low, Arizona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/darlenewallace.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1186\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/darlenewallace.jpg 640w, https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/darlenewallace-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/darlenewallace-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/darlenewallace-50x50.jpg 50w, https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/darlenewallace-500x500.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/darlenewallace-120x120.jpg 120w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><figcaption>Darlene Wallace<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Wallace\ngraduated from SSC in 1994. She has gone on to become the Owner and CEO of the\nColumbus Oil Company. She oversees the daily and administrative duties of the\noil production company. She presently serves on the Board of Directors for the\nNational Stripper Well Association and served on the Board of Directors for the\nOklahoma Independent Petroleum Association from 2009 to 2017. In 2009, she was\ninducted into the Seminole Oil Museum Hall of Fame. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campus\norganizational leaders will also be recognized at the banquet, including\nFaculty Senate President Angela Church, Professional Staff President Edith\nCathey, Classified Staff President Toni Wittmann and Student Government\nAssociation Representatives Kaitlyn Trunk and Tijah Johnson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each division\non campus has selected an outstanding student to be recognized at the event:\nHanna Pitman, Business and Education; Kaitlyn Trunk, Social Sciences; Kaitlyn\nCarroll, STEM; Kristy Lively, Liberal Arts and Humanities; and Ashley Bristol,\nHealth Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Damaris Haney,\nEducational Talent Search Advisor, will be recognized for her 20 years of\nservice at the College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three SSC employees will be recognized for their upcoming retirement: NASNTI Coaching Specialist Deedra Eldredge, President&#8217;s Office Administrative Assistant Cindy Quinn and Accounts Payable Clerk Mary Higgins.
