Assistant Professor\nof&nbsp;Criminal Justice Sam Rivera was honored as \u201cFaculty Member of the\nMonth\u201d and Director of Student Support Services and STEM Student Support\nServices Janna Manlapig was honored as \u201cProfessional Staff Member of the\nMonth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Seminole Chamber of\nCommerce Education Committee, along with the Lions Club and Blue Ribbon Realty,\nrecognize SSC employees several times during Forum each year. Since that time, Rivera has held the position of\nAssistant Professor of Criminal Justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is involved with a number\nof campus organizations and committees. He is a member of the Assessment\nLearning Committee, the Chair of the Professional Development Committee and an\nadvisor for the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rivera and his wife\nStephanie reside in Wewoka. She also sits on\nadvisory boards for nursing and MLT. She is an active member of the Emmanuel\nEpiscopal Church in Shawnee, where she participates on the meal service team,\nplays in the hand bell choir and plays percussion for the youth service on Wednesday\nevenings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She and her fianc\u00e9e Holly\nreside in Shawnee.
