Seminole State College will host the NJCAA Region II Softball Tournament May 9-12 at the College\u2019s softball complex. Eight teams from across the state will compete in the tournament. Seminole State College, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa, Carl Albert State College, Rose State College, Eastern Oklahoma State College, and Western Oklahoma State College have secured their spots, while Connors State College and Northern Oklahoma College-Enid vie for the eighth seed. <\/p>\n\n\n
\u201cI think attendees will be surprised by the level\nof competition. This region has historically done well on a national level.\nAnyone who comes to the event will see some incredibly high-level softball,\u201d\nMike St. John, SSC Athletic Director, said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
SSC presently leads the region with a 30-0\nconference win\/loss record and a 47-2 overall record. The team is led by head\ncoach Amber Flores and assistant coach TJ Webb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tickets will be $10 for adults, $5 for senior\ncitizens, $5 for students (seven-18 years old) and children six years old and\nyounger will be admitted for free. Games start at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May\n9, and will conclude with the championship matchup at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May\n12. For the full schedule, visit sscathletics.com.
