SSC President Lana Reynolds said the College is excited to\nbe able to extend this offer to juniors due to Legislative funding and support\nfrom the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. \u201cAt one time, SSC was able to provide this\ngreat program to high school juniors, but due to decreased funding in past\nyears, the tuition waivers were eliminated. \nWe appreciate our elected officials at the Capital stepping forward to\nfund concurrent enrollment for both seniors and juniors. Through this program, Oklahoma high school\nstudents get a head-start on their college careers which saves them valuable\ntime and money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe encourage area high schools and parents to reach out to\nSeminole State College to get students enrolled as quickly as possible,\u201d\nReynolds said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To apply for\nconcurrent classes at SSC, interested students must complete an application for\nadmission and submit an SSC concurrent enrollment form as well as an official\nhigh school transcript and ACT or SAT scores. High school students must have\nscored a minimum composite of 19 on the ACT or a 900 on the SAT or have a high\nschool GPA of a 3.0 or above. Other requirements include eligibility for high\nschool graduation, a combined high school and college course load of no more\nthan 19 hours and signed approval by the high school principal and counselor,\nas well as parental consent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
