School\nofficials throughout the College\u2019s service area of Seminole, Lincoln,\nPottawatomie, Hughes and Okfuskee counties are invited by President Reynolds to\nnominate high school seniors as candidates for the scholarship program each\nDecember. Other students are nominated by business owners and school\nofficials. Participants are selected based on ACT scores, academic\nperformance in high school and demonstrated leadership ability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Freshman\nmembers of the President\u2019s Leadership Class XIII include: Cale Ashcraft of\nSeminole; Connor Buchanan of Wewoka; Kandyce Davidson of Wewoka; Preston Davis\nof Oklahoma City; Kelsey Edminsten of Okemah; Candice Ervin of Holdenville;\nCallen Golloway of Blanchard; Jerome Hilton of Maud; Trevor Martin of Owasso;\nTiffany Maxey of Catoosa; Sydney McClaskey of Maud; Brady McEntire of Daingerfield,\nTX; Isabella McGeisey of Shawnee; Shelby Moutaw of Strother; Jacob Pratt of\nTecumseh; Hailey Satterfield of Shawnee; Carli Stafford of Wewoka; Rylee\nTreloar of Depew; Creed Watkins of Duncan; Sydney Whaley of Shawnee; and\nChanning Wortham of Shawnee. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sophomore\nmembers of the President\u2019s Leadership Class XII, returning for a second year in\nthe program, include: Kristen Casteel of Shawnee; Jenny Chen of Tecumseh; Tie\nEhler of Davenport; Adrienne Foster of Seminole; Kendra Hisaw of Stonewall;\nBeau Johnston of Weleetka; Brandon Jones of Seminole; Hanna Lay of Earlsboro;\nCharles Presley, Jr. of Seminole; Jake Robbins of Ft. Gibson; Jordan Rodriquez\nof Seminole; Nate Santiago of Southlake, TX; Kenzie Sheldon of Prague; Jace\nWallace of Elmore City; Anthony Weeks of Wetumka; and Nathan Weeks of Wetumka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The freshmen\nattended an orientation session at the College prior to the start of\nclasses. They were also guests, along with their parents, at a reception\nheld at the Jasmine Moran Children\u2019s Museum on Tuesday, August 20, where they\nheard about the history of Seminole from Museum founder and former SSC Regent\nMelvin Moran. They also heard from Museum President and CEO Marci Donaho, who\nspoke about the history of the Museum and the importance of volunteerism. <\/p>\n\n\n\n During the fall\nsemester, the students will participate in a variety of activities, including a\n\u201cchallenge adventure\u201d team-building course, a visit to the Chickasaw Cultural\nCenter in Sulphur, a trip to the Braum\u2019s processing plant and bakery in Tuttle\nand a visit to the Food Bank of Oklahoma to volunteer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/IMG_7644-med-1024x683.jpg\")
