SSC sent Tijah Johnson, Tatiana Wahwasuck, Brittney Moore and Ryleigh\nLane. Lane, Wahwasuck and Johnson served as voting delegates to represent SSC\u2019s\nstudent population. While at Congress, SSC delegates brought resolutions\npertinent to their peers from a wide array of topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;With\nthis being the largest Congress in the history of the organization, I am very\nproud of the work that all of these students have put into making it\nsuccessful. There were many outstanding pieces of legislation heard, and I&#8217;m\nexcited to see what comes up in the spring,&#8221; said Jakob Harmon, chair of\nCongress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>OSGA\nis a statewide organization that holds regular meetings one a semester for\ncolleges and universities from around the state. The purpose is for student\nleaders to discuss common issues that they are having on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students\ncame together from across the state to author and debate resolutions for the\nbetterment of higher education and the student experience. There were hearings\nover proposed legislation on the first day and voting and amending on the second.\nResolutions passed by OSGA are passed up to Oklahoma legislators and the\nOklahoma State Regents, who then propose laws based on OSGA suggestion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oklahoma Student Government Association hosted their annual Fall Congress this past weekend, November 9 and 10 at Oklahoma City University.
