Tournament trophies and\nmedals were provided by the Whitten Newman Family Foundation, Security State\nBank and Gilbert Insurance Agency. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funds raised by the tournament go directly to scholarships for\nSpeech, Art, and English students attending Seminole State College. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCongratulations to the winners and competitors and a special\nthank you to our local Seminole State College administration and faculty for\nhelping judge the 13 speech and debate events,\u201d Bolander said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vice President for Fiscal Affairs Tony Crouch, Social Science Division\nChair Dr. Steve Bolin, Associate Professor of Psychology Christal Knowles, Assistant\nProfessor of English Dr. Andrew Davis, Associate Professor Kelly McBride, Assistant\nProfessor of English Yasminda Choate, Communications Coordinator Josh Hutton\nand SSC student Connor Buchanan helped judge, organize and support the efforts\nto bring students to the tournament at SSC. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Seminole State College Trojan Speech and Debate Tournament welcomed 16 area high schools to the SSC campus on January 24 and 25 to an Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association qualifying tournament.
