Two Seminole State College employees were recognized for their hard work and dedication during the monthly Seminole Chamber of Commerce Forum on Feb. 13. Business and Education Instructor Dan Hill was honored as \u201cFaculty Member of the Month\u201d and Business Services Coordinator Melissa Marshall as \u201cStaff Member of the Month.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The Seminole Chamber of\nCommerce Education Committee, along with the Lions Club and Blue Ribbon Realty,\nrecognize SSC employees several times during Forum each year. Individuals are\nnominated from across the campus and chosen by SSC administrators to receive\nthe honor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hill has worked at SSC for nearly\nfour years. Beyond teaching courses, he also serves as the Women\u2019s Soccer Head\nCoach. He led the Trojan soccer team to the NJCAA Division I National\nChampionship Tournament in Melbourne, Florida in 2019, a first in the program\u2019s\nhistory. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He received his\nbachelor\u2019s degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis on History at the\nUniversity of Oklahoma in 2007. He then completed his master\u2019s degree in\nbusiness administration at the University of Central Oklahoma in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe main thing\nI enjoy about SSC is the people I work with and the students and players I\nteach and coach every day. We facilitate a true family environment at SSC. My\njob is something I feel very blessed to be able to do,\u201d Hill said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hill resides in Seminole\nwith his wife Emma Speer, the counselor at Seminole High School and a graduate\nof SSC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marshall has been employed by the College for nine years. As the\nBusiness Services Coordinator, she supervises accounts receivable, payroll,\npurchasing and accounts payable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She received her bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration in\n2008 and her master\u2019s degree in Accountancy in 2014, both at the University of\nPhoenix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI enjoy working with the people at SSC and constantly\nlearning,\u201d Marshall said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She and her husband, Edward Marshall, a retired veteran, reside\nin Seminole with their three boys Kieran, Kadin and Kristian. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI love spending time with\nmy family, and I\u2019m looking forward to our oldest son graduating from Seminole\nPublic School this year and attending North Central University in the fall,\u201d\nshe said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
