{"id":2191,"date":"2020-10-22T09:32:00","date_gmt":"2020-10-22T15:32:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/?p=2191"},"modified":"2020-10-29T09:37:35","modified_gmt":"2020-10-29T15:37:35","slug":"ssc-board-of-regents-convenes-for-october-meeting-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sscok.edu\/media\/ssc-board-of-regents-convenes-for-october-meeting-3\/","title":{"rendered":"SSC Board of Regents Convenes for October Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Seminole State College Board of Regents met Oct. 22 to review the College\u2019s annual external audit report and approve the 2020-2021 academic calendar.<!--more--><\/p>\n\n<p>The meeting opened with a review of the College\u2019s recent expenditures by Interim Vice President for Fiscal Affairs Courtney Jones. Then SSC President Lana Reynolds presented her President\u2019s Report, which included an update on the College\u2019s COVID-19 response, personnel changes and information about campus activities.<\/p>\n<p>One action item was approved by the Board. The Board approved the 2020 fiscal year external audit conducted by the Finley &amp; Cook, Certified Public Accountants of Shawnee. The audit focused on College operations from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. Prior to the meeting, the report was presented to the Board Audit Committee, composed of Chair Curtis Morgan and Regents Kim Hyden and Ray McQuiston. Dan Bledsoe, a partner with Finley &amp; Cook, provided a summary at the meeting. The accounting firm communicated that they found no significant deficiencies or material weaknesses.
