The Seminole State College Aggie Club hosted its sixth annual SSC FFA Interscholastic Contest on April 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nearly 1,100 students from 100 schools across the state of Oklahoma participated in the event. Students competed in a variety of contests \u2013 Ag Mechanics, Animal Science Quiz Bowl, Milk Quality and Products, Electricity, 8th Grade Quiz Bowl, Employment Skills, Entomology, Environmental and Natural Resources, Floriculture, Homesite Evaluation, Land Judging, Soil and Water Management, Turfgrass Management and Veterinary Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The SSC Aggie Club hosted its sixth annual SSC FFA Interscholastic Contest on Thursday, April 11. Aggie Club sponsor and Assistant Professor of Agriculture Wendy Rich organized the event and welcomed nearly 1,100 attendees before the contest began.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

SSC Assistant Professor of Agriculture Wendy Rich served as the primary coordinator of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe SSC FFA Interscholastic event serves as an excellent opportunity to not only support the largest youth organization in Oklahoma \u2014 FFA \u2014 but to showcase the many opportunities that SSC has to offer to high school students in the state. We hope their experience here will pique their interest in attending SSC for their future educational goals,\u201d Rich said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
