The Seminole State College Board of Regents met Thursday, Dec. 18, to conduct regular business, review financial items and consider a community partnership aimed at improving pedestrian access in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During communications to the Board, Vice President for Finance, Grants and Enrollment presented the financial report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the President\u2019s Report, SSC President Lana Reynolds provided updates on personnel and enrollment and shared information related to MacKenzie\u2019s Scott\u2019s recent $17 million gift to the College, along with campus activities, upcoming events and 2026 Board of Regents meeting dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

With the first item on the agenda, Regents approved a partnership with Seminole Public Schools and the City of Seminole to pursue a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) grant to help provide sidewalks and a crossing between the Brian Crawford Memorial Sports Complex, Seminole High School and Seminole State College. Seminole City Manager Steve Saxon joined the meeting to provide background on the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regents also approved two items on the consent agenda: the 2026-2027 Academic Calendar for submission to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and the annual renewal agreement with Jenzabar for the College\u2019s campus software operating system in the amount of $107,236.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Board also received an update regarding a Nursing Program leadership transition. A new director for the program has been identified and will assume the role beginning in January.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regents present at the meeting were Chair Marci Donaho, Mona Adkisson, Teresa Burnett, Curtis Morgan, Robyn Ready and Barry Tims. The next SSC Board of Regents meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
