Seminole State College is enrolling students in Microsoft for Work Professionals, a short-term, college-credit micro-credential course designed to help participants develop practical Microsoft Office and workplace technology skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The class begins Jan. 14 and meets once a week for eight weeks from 1 to 2:40 p.m. Students may enroll through Jan. 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course will be taught by Dan Hill, a business and education instructor who has worked at Seminole State College for nine years. He also serves as the college\u2019s women\u2019s soccer coach. Hill has led the women\u2019s soccer program to the national tournament for seven consecutive years and has been named NJCAA Region II Coach of the Year for women\u2019s soccer every year from 2018 to 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe main thing I enjoy about SSC is the people I work with and the students and players I teach and coach every day. We facilitate a true family environment at SSC. My job is something I feel very blessed to be able to do,\u201d Hill said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hill earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in secondary education with an emphasis in history from the University of Oklahoma in 2007. He completed a master\u2019s degree in business administration from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft for Work Professionals focuses on job-related skills that support everyday workplace success, including preparing reports, managing schedules, communicating professionally and collaborating in cloud-based work environments. Students will also receive a digital badge they can share on LinkedIn and other professional platforms, and they will earn college credit upon completion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To enroll, students should use class code CAP 1101.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
