The Seminole State College Trojan Softball Program will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year by hosting an Alumni Celebration on Saturday, August 25 at the SSC Softball Complex located across from campus off of Highway 9.<\/p>\n\n\n

The 2017-2018 Seminole State College Trojan Softball team swept the NJCAA Region II Tournament held at Rose State College in Midwest City in May. The team advanced to the National Tournament in St. George, Utah where they finished fourth in the College Softball World Series<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The event will kick-off with an alumni game at 4 p.m. followed by a cook-out at 6 p.m. All SSC softball alumni, friends, family and community members are invited to come visit with old teammates and meet the current players. Cost for this event is free for all SSC alumni. Cost for guests will be $5 per person, ages 6 and above, for those attending the picnic. Special alumni t-shirts and SSC hats will be available for purchase at the event.
The 2017-2018 year was record-breaking for the SSC Softball Program, with a conference record of 30-2 and an overall record of 50-7. This included a 36-game winning-streak and a fourth place finish at the National Tournament in St. George, Utah in May. The program was also successful academically this past year, with its largest group of softball student-athletes, 13 total, each qualifying for All-American Academic Honors.
