The Seminole State College President’s Leadership Class traveled to Tuttle, Oklahoma on November 19 to tour the Braum’s Bakery and Processing Plant. PLC students Trevor Martin of Owasso, Creed Watkins of Duncan, Kandyce Davidson of Wewoka, Channing Wortham of Shawnee and Tiffany Maxey of Catoosa stop for a photo after learning how cookies, ice cream cones and bread are made and packaged at the bakery.

SSC Students Volunteer at Regional Food Bank

Members of Seminole State College’s President’s Leadership Class volunteered at the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma City on Nov. 7. The students prepared packages of food that will be distributed to participating schools around the state. The bags contained approximately 10 different foods designed to provide nutrition and calories for chronically hungry children over the weekend. Large Crowd Attends SSC Trick-or-Treat Trail Event

Several hundred kids and family members participated in Seminole State College’s 6th Annual Trick-or-Treat Trail on campus October 28. Tables were set up along the walking trails of Henderson Park with various SSC teams, organizations, students and employees who passed out candy to trick-or-treaters. SSC Student Attends National Student Government Summit

Seminole State College sophomore Tijah Johnson, of Shawnee, attended the American Student Government Association annual conference in Washington D.C. Oct. 10-13. Johnson serves as the President of the Student Government Association at SSC.

During the conference, she attended workshops on leadership, time management, bolstering campus involvement and many other topics. She also toured many landmarks of the nation’s capital.

SSC Baptist Collegiate Ministry Hosts Dodgeball Tournament

The Seminole State College Baptist Collegiate Ministry recently hosted a dodgeball tournament on campus. Multiple student teams and one faculty team competed in the Raymond Harber Fieldhouse. Prize money was awarded to the top three teams. The faculty team, which placed third, donated their winnings to the SSC Food Pantry. SSC President’s Leadership Class Attends Chamber Forum

The Seminole State College President’s Leadership Class poses for a photo with Brent Kisling, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Department of Commerce (center), following the Seminole Chamber of Commerce Forum on Sept. 12. Kisling was this month’s featured speaker. He discussed attracting more businesses to Oklahoma and growing job sectors. Kisling was appointed to his position in January by Governor Kevin Stitt.
