The Language Arts and Humanities Division at Seminole State College is currently accepting submissions for the Eighth Annual “Howlers and Yawpers Creativity Symposium: A Showcase of Oklahoma Artists, Musicians, Actors, Writers, and Dancers.” Those interested can visit the symposium website at http://yawpers.kellimcbride.com to access the 2018 Submission Form. SSC Regents Convene for July Meeting

At their July meeting on Thursday, the Seminole State College Board of Regents elected Board officers and approved an annual consultant agreement. The Board also approved the temporary suspension of men’s and women’s tennis to allow the College time to hire a new coach after the recent departure of long-time head coach Brian Nelson – and address several other matters pertaining to the program. PLC Oklahoma History- Scottish Rite

The Seminole State College President’s Leadership Class travelled to Guthrie on Tuesday afternoon to visit the Oklahoma Territorial Museum and tour the Masonic Center. While touring the Scottish Rite Temple in Guthrie, the PLC students learned the history behind the Scottish Rite Masons as well as the facility – a place of study and education, recreation and fellowship, learning and reflection and charity and compassion. SSC Art Club Visits ECU Fine Arts Center

Seminole State College Art Club students recently took a field trip to visit the Hallie Ford Fine Arts Center at East Central University in Ada.

Upon arrival, SSC students were welcomed by ECU Director of Fine Arts Dr. Brad Jessop and Professor of Graphic Design John Dougherty. Dougherty, along with Assistant Professor Katy Seals, held a review session with the group and encouraged them to spread out their artwork and discuss their pieces in detail.   Continue reading “SSC Art Club Visits ECU Fine Arts Center”
