
Fifty-two student-athletes and five athletic teams at Seminole State College have been honored by the National Junior College Athletic Association for their academic excellence in the 2024-2025 academic year. The NJCAA Academic All-American Student-Athlete Awards are presented in three categories: First Team (4.0 GPA), Second Team (3.80-3.99 GPA), and Third Team (3.60-3.79 GPA).
“This recognition is a reflection of the commitment our student-athletes make every day—not only to their teams, but to their academic goals as well,” SSC Athletic Director Leslie Sewell said. “We’re incredibly proud of their accomplishments.”
The SSC athletic teams recognized for achieving a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher include Women’s Golf with a 3.79 GPA, Women’s Soccer with a 3.46 GPA, Volleyball with a 3.42 GPA, Softball with a 3.42 GPA and Baseball with a 3.29 GPA.
In addition to team honors, 52 SSC student-athletes received individual NJCAA Academic All-American recognition for their outstanding academic achievements.
NJCAA Academic All-American First Team (4.0 GPA): Gabreil Barrientes, Bennett Craften, Gabby Deleon, Kara Doan, Sophia Doumos, Aaliyaiah Durden,
Emma Fanous, Jentrie Gibson, Kylie Hewitt, Mckenna Ingram, Kenzie Kauk, Melanie Long, Aspen Loafman, Maria Maldonado, Kaylee Madden, Clayton Moore, Carter Sterling, Ashlynn Vargas, Keyleigh Wapaha and Gavin Williams.
NJCAA Academic All-American Second Team (3.80–3.99 GPA): Jasmine Barney, Peyton Black, Brooklynn Cahill, Grayson Childers, Chase Conner, Marissa Frolich, Denver Hamilton, Kayla Kilnesmith, Gracie Jane Lasiter, Ashley Perez, Reeve Ross, Ethan Ruby, Hutch Russell, Caeli Schaefer, Breana Stumbo, Allison Townley and Zoe Trenchand.
NJCAA Academic All-American Third Team (3.60–3.79 GPA): Alona Cooper-Rochovitz, Mylan Childers, Cole Girard, John Hidalgo, Caden Hunter, Wyatt Jones, Molly-Kate Lundy, Chelsea Powell, Hannah Reed, Ethan Rich, Reid Samson, Cayden Sherwood, Maddy Sidlauskas, Angel Tiscareno and Camryn Westbrook.
