The Seminole State College women’s soccer team competes in the 2023 NJCAA Region II & South District Tournament at the Advance Soccer Complex in Enid, OK, starting on Friday, October 27.

Seminole State College freshman pitcher Gio DeGraauw, of Hilversum, Netherlands, was reunited with his father, uncle and two family friends this week. His biggest fans made the long trip to watch a few games in person and experience the sights and sounds of Oklahoma. The group posed for a photo following the Trojan baseball team’s 14-4 victory over Cowley County Community College of Arkansas City, Kansas on March 21. Former Seminole State College baseball players, along with community supporters and members of the 2023 Trojan squad, gathered on the SSC campus Saturday, Feb. 4 for the annual Trojan Season Kick-Off Banquet. More than 200 guests attended the event.
Seminole State College student-athletes and coaches volunteered their time this week to wrap more than 200 gifts for the annual Earl Knowles free community Christmas dinner, organized by the Seminole Rotary Club.
The presents wrapped by SSC athletes will be distributed at the community dinner on Sunday, December 25 at the Senior Citizen’s Heritage House at 210 W. College. Arrangements may also be made to have the gifts and meals delivered to homes by calling 405-382-3640 prior to Christmas Eve.
Seminole State College hosted its annual Night at the Lights event on Dec. 5 at Magnolia Park in Seminole. Local families enjoyed the community Snowman Wonderland light display, as well as cookies and hot chocolate provided by the College. Dozens of SSC student athletes manned crafting stations inside the Reynolds Wellness Center, helping children create crafts.
The Seminole State College women’s soccer team recently competed in the NJCAA National Soccer Championship in Evans, Georgia. The team was eliminated from the tournament following a close loss to Polk State College with a final score of 3-1 on Nov. 15. The Trojans ended the season with an overall record of 18-4 and a conference record of 13-1. The team held a perfect 8-0 record at home this season. The team is led by Head Coach Dan Hill and Assistant Coach Jade Dewbre.
The Seminole State Women’s Soccer team, alongside faculty, staff, and fans gathered to watch the at-large selection show presented by the National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) in the Seminole State College Student Union on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. During the selection show, it was announced via livestream that the Trojans received an at-large bid for the 2022 NJCAA D1 Women’s Soccer Championship. This year’s championship will be hosted at Blanchard Woods Park in Evans, Georgia from November 13 – 19, 2022.
Seminole State College Women’s Soccer Head Coach Dan Hill thanks attendees at a send-off event on Nov. 12 in the E.T. Dunlap Student Union. SSC students, employees, community supporters, family and friends packed into the union to wish the team well as they head to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Daytona, Florida. The tournament takes place Nov. 15-20.
State Senator Zack Taylor (R-District 28) presented the Trojans soccer team with a Citation of Congratulations from the Oklahoma State Senate at the event.
The women’s soccer team poses in front of the bus before making their departure on Nov. 12. The team enters the tournament as the number two seed. This marks their third consecutive year to compete in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament.
The Seminole State College women’s soccer team will advance to the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Daytona Beach, Florida next week. The tournament will take place from November 15-20 at Daytona State College. The SSC women’s soccer team earned their place on the national stage after clinching the West-Plains District Championship in a matchup against Casper College of Wyoming 1-0 on Nov. 6 at Rogers State University in Claremore. This marks the team’s third consecutive appearance at the national tournament.
The College will host a farewell event for the team on Friday, Nov. 12 at 9:00 a.m. in the E.T. Dunlap Student Union. The event is open to students, employees and members of the community that would like to support the team.
