What degree can I get online? What classes do I take?

It depends on your degree program. We offer Associate of Arts, Associate of Sciences, an Associate of Applied Science, and a certificate program. You can find degree checklist for each degree by clicking the link below. Don’t see your degree or certificate… don’t worry any degree can be started in the Liberal Studies major.

How much does it cost?

You can estimate around $200 per credit hour for in-state tuition ($400/hr for out-of-state students) in Tuition in fees, not including books/supplies. Most classes are 3 credit hours. Don’t let cost be a barrier to achieving your dreams! The Online Degree Office will do everything we can to help you receive aid and/or make plans to cover costs.

How can I pay?

Our first goal will be to help you secure financial aid. However, if you do not qualify or don’t receive enough to cover your entire balance, SSC does offer payment plans.

How long does it take to get the degree?

This all depends on several factors. Your assigned Student Navigator will help you determine the right number of classes and will calculate for you how long it will take. However, it is very possible to get a complete Associates degree in as little as 18 months.

Will all of my classes be online?

Yes! Classes and labs are completely online.

Could I take an in-person class if I wanted to?

Yes* you can take a blended courseload, but since our program is for students completing their full degrees online, we will change you over to the traditional program advisors.

Where do I get my books?

The SSC Bookstore has all books available to be purchased online and shipped to you. You can take your schedule with you to our on-campus store for assistance or browse the online bookstore’s inventory full inventory of books, supplies, and merch here. (And yes, you can obtain your books there too.)

How do I get to my classes, get my grades and talk with my professors?

Seminole State College uses a learner management system called Brightspace (aka D2L). Once you’re enrolled you will be provided with a SSC email and password that you’ll use to log in.
