SSC Student-Athletes Receive Academic All-American Honors

Fifty-two student-athletes and six athletic teams at Seminole State College have been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements this year by the National Junior College Athletic Association. The NJCAA Academic All-American Student Athlete Awards are divided into the three groups based on grade point average – First Team requires a 4.0 GPA, Second Team requires a GPA between 3.80 and 3.99, and Third Team requires a GPA between 3.60 and 3.79.

Spring Honor Roll Recognizes SSC Students

Seminole State College has released the names of honor roll students for the 2022 spring semester. Three separate honor rolls recognize students for their academic achievements.

The President’s Honor Roll is comprised of students who maintain a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average in at least 12 credit hours of coursework.

Students named to the Vice President’s Honor Roll must have a 3.5 grade-point-average or better and no grade below a “C”.

The Part-Time Students’ Honor Roll is for students who maintain a 3.5 grade-point-average with no grade below a “C” in at least six, but less than 12 college credit hours.

Expected Graduates of SSC’s Nursing Program Recognized at Pinning Ceremony

Seminole State College held a pinning ceremony at the Enoch Kelly Haney Center on May 23 for nursing students expected to meet degree requirements in the spring semester

This semester marked the 50th year the College has offered its nursing program. Since 1972, 1018 nurses have launched their careers at SSC.

Students Complete President’s Leadership Class Program at SSC

Nine Seminole State College sophomores in the Seminole State College President’s Leadership Class recently received awards recognizing their completion of two years in the program. Wallace Attends Nigh Leadership Academy

Seminole State College freshman Hailey Wallace, of Wellston, recently attended the Nigh Institute Leadership Academy held in Oklahoma City.

Wallace joined college students from across the state for the three-day academy. Over the course of the event, Wallace and her peers toured the Oklahoma City Memorial, visited the Bob Funk Ranch and experienced the First Americans Museum.

State Regents’ Council for Online Learning Excellence Honors SSC Administrator

The State Regents’ Council for Online Learning Excellence (COLE) recognized a Seminole State College administrator for her outstanding work in online education during the State Regents meeting on April 28. SSC Interim Executive Director of Business Service Melanie Rinehart was honored with the Oklahoma Online Excellence Award for Individual Leadership.
