PLC Participate in Earth Day Appreciation

Members of the Seminole State College President’s Leadership Class gathered Thursday in recognition of Earth Day. The students visited with Ray McQuiston – Fulfillment Center Director for Kontoor Brands, Inc. – who discussed the importance of sustainability and how he spearheaded a recycling initiative for the company to help lower waste and help the environment. He also challenged the students to think of small ways they could do their part in their personal lives and also on the college campus.

As part of Earth Day appreciation, PLC students volunteered to pick-up trash in the community through the City of Seminole’s “Community Clean-Up” efforts this week. The students collected trash near the Boomtown park area.
