SSC Board of Regents Convene for Special Meeting Concerning Winter Storm Damage

The Seminole State College Board of Regents held a special meeting on April 6 to ratify a Declaration of a State of Emergency as a result of damage caused by winter storms in February.

Formal support of the declaration by the Board was requested to proceed with repair projects across campus.

The Oklahoma State Risk Management Office, with the defined mission to protect the assets of the State of Oklahoma and SSC, will continue to assist as the College navigates repair projects in various buildings on campus due to damage that occurred in February. The Oklahoma State Risk Management Office estimated the cost to repair all damages at $1 million.

Board members present at the meeting were: Chair Curtis Morgan, Marci Donaho, Ryan Franklin, Kim Hyden and Ray McQuiston.

The next SSC Board of Regents meeting is set for Thursday, May 20, 2021.
