SSC Holds Extended Office Hours, Fall Semester Begins August 15

With the fall semester beginning Aug. 15, Seminole State College will host its Enrollment Extravaganza event and extend enrollment hours to cater to prospective student schedules from Aug. 8 to Aug. 13. The event will feature games, popcorn, hot dogs, cotton candy and campus tours. Students who stop by during the event can enter a raffle for a $250 or $500 tuition wavier. The drawing will take place on 1:00 p.m. on Aug. 13.

Special extended office hours for admissions, financial aid, advising, testing, the business office and the bookstore will take place 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 8, 9, 11. Offices will be closed the morning of Aug. 10 for faculty and staff in-service, but will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Aug. 12, offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will wrap on Aug. 13 with offices open to prospective students from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

SSC’s regular office hours will resume Monday, Aug. 15 and are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.

Day, evening, weekend and online courses are being offered. SSC students can receive associate degrees in 18 transfer degree programs including concentrations in agriculture, art,

biology, business, child development, computer science, criminal justice, elementary education, health, physical education and recreation, health sciences, language arts, liberal studies, pre-engineering, psychology, secondary education and social sciences. The College also offers five workforce degrees programs in business technology, medical laboratory technology, nursing and physical therapy assistant.
