Christina Parsons is a graduate of Choctaw High School and Eastern Oklahoma Vocational-Technical School. Upon graduation she began a career at American Fidelity Insurance Company, retiring after 20 years. Christina has worked at Seminole State College for more than 12 years. She possesses an expansive knowledge of the intricacies of the TANF grant and has assisted countless students in navigating the rigors of college though the Employment Readiness Program. She is eager to welcome new students. Christina has been married to John for thirty-four years and has two children, Alyson a pharmacist and Cory, a meteorologist. Christina loves spending time with her three grandchildren and working cattle at the family ranch.

Kristi Scroggins
Employment Readiness Coordinator (Ada Office)

Kristi Scroggins is stationed at the Ada office. She graduated from Antlers High School and East Central University in Ada. Kristi comes from a teaching background, having taught High School Family and Consumer Sciences, fourth grade, as well as pre-K. Kristi lives in the Ada area and substituted in the Ada Job Readiness office for many years. She developed a love for the program through her passion for assisting clients with navigating the many obstacles in education, housing, and eventually employment. Kristi has a true heart for her clients and leverages relationships built in Ada and neighboring communities to provide valuable resources and support to her clients. Kristi has two daughters, Sophie, 23, and Sylvie, 21. Sophie is working toward a degree in Business Finance and Sylvie, Dietary Management/Holistic Medicine. Kristi’s passions are her daughters, gardening, and Interior Design.

Jerry Fry

Jerry Fry retired from a 34-year career in juvenile justice. He worked for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and the Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs, holding key administrative positions at each agency. He was also the Director of White Fields Children’s Homes. Jerry earned both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree from East Central University. He was awarded two Governor’s Commendations for his work with children and was named a Distinguished Oklahoma Citizen by the Oklahoma House of Representatives for his involvement with children’s issues. Jerry served on numerous boards and commissions during his juvenile justice career and is a graduate of the inaugural Leadership Tecumseh class. He is a lifelong member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Tecumseh. Jerry is excited about working at Seminole State College and is eager to apply his experience to the Employment Readiness Program. Jerry and his wife Dawn live in Bethel and have two children Ethan 25, and Evan 21. Ethan is a juvenile justice professional in Western Oklahoma and Evan is a graduate of Seminole State College and is currently attending the University of Central Oklahoma.
