Mission Statement
STEM SSS exists to coach program participants in a successful academic journey leading to a timely graduation from SSC and transfer to a four-year college or university.
Two Primary Goals
STEM SSS has two primary goals for our participants:
Graduation from SSC
AND
Transfer to a four-year college or university
Services
In order to guide our participants to graduation and transfer, we provide the following services on a daily or regularly scheduled basis:

Eligibility
In order to qualify for STEM Student Support Services, students must qualify based on federal guidelines. The guidelines consider documented disabilities, federal income guidelines, and first generation college students. SSC students who desire to participate in STEM SSS must complete an application and meet federal guidelines for admission. Early application is encouraged as space may be limited. The staff of STEM SSS encourages any SSC student to apply and welcomes any questions regarding the application and eligibility process.
There are two Student Support Service Programs at SSC and students may only participate in ONE of the Student Support Service programs at SSC.

STEM Student Support Services is funded by the U.S.Department of Education in cooperation with Seminole State College. STEM SSS is 100% federally funded at an annual rate of $261,888 from September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2025. Seminole State College is an equal opportunity educator and employer.
