SSC Volleyball Offers Free Game Admission with Canned Good

The first Seminole State College home volleyball game will take place Tuesday, August 27 at 5 p.m. inside the Raymond Harber Fieldhouse. The team will face Oklahoma Wesleyan JV. In an effort to help launch the new food pantry on campus this fall, the team is offering free admission to anyone who donates a canned good or nonperishable food item. SSC Educational Foundation Approves Plan to Build Sports Complex
The Seminole State College Educational Foundation approved a plan to begin construction on the Brian Crawford Memorial Sports Complex at their meeting on June 12.

SSC Student-Athletes Receive Academic All-American Honors
Thirty-five student-athletes and five athletic teams at Seminole State College have been recognized for their outstanding academic achievements this year by the National Junior College Athletic Association. The NJCAA All-American Student Athlete Awards are divided into the three groups based on GPA – First Team requires a 4.0 GPA, Second Team requires a GPA between 3.80 and 3.99, and Third Team requires a GPA between 3.60 and 3.79. SSC Softball Wins First Round of World Series
The Seminole State College Trojan Softball Team won their first round of the NJCAA JUCO World Series in St. George, Utah, May 22. The team defeated Shelton State Community College 12-4 and will face Wallace College of Alabama at 3:30 p.m. on May 23.

SSC Softball Headed to Nationals
Seminole State College’s Trojan softball team won the Region II Division I championship on May 13 and will advance to the NJCAA National Tournament to be held in St. George, Utah May 22-25, 2019.
The Trojans were undefeated in the Regional Tournament, held in Seminole this past weekend. They finished the regular season ranked Number one in the NJCAA national poll, have a current record of 51 wins and 2 losses on the season and have a 46-game winning streak.

SSC Softball Team Ranked Number One in the Nation
For the first time in the program’s history, the Seminole State College women’s softball team is ranked number one in the nation. The SSC softball team took the top spot when NJCAA Division I rankings were released May 7. There are 158 two-year colleges across the nation competing in 20 Regions of Division I Softball.
