Seminole Chamber Honors SSC Personnel
Two Seminole State College employees were recognized for their hard work and dedication during the monthly Seminole Chamber of Commerce Forum on April 14. Assistant Professor of Chemistry Dr. Nilmini Senaratne was honored as Faculty Member of the Month, and Director of Residential Life and Student Activities Melinda Sims was honored as Staff Member of the Month.

Exotic Animals Prowl SSC for Campus Event
Seminole State College’s Student Activities welcomed exotic animals to campus on April 6. Extreme Animals, of Oklahoma City, brought in various animals, including a wallaby, a bearded dragon, a python and many others. Students were able to interact with the animals, under the supervision of Extreme Animals staff.


SSC Educational Foundation to Host Annual Spring Banquet
The Seminole State College Educational Foundation will host its 27th Annual Spring Banquet on Thursday, April 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Enoch Kelly Haney Center on campus. The event recognizes accomplishments by alumni, employees and students.

Emeritus Status Granted to Four Former SSC Employees
Four former Seminole State College employees were granted emeritus status by the College’s Board of Regents at their meeting on March 24. Brenda Cates, Carol Hartman, Susan Walker and Frank Washington were recognized during the Board meeting and, following the meeting, a reception was held in their honor at the Utterback Ballroom.
