Summer Courses Begin Next Week at SSC

Summer classes at Seminole State College begin Monday, May 19. Enrollment remains open for the first session through May 22. A second session starts June 2, with enrollment open through June 5.

Summer courses begin Monday, May 19, at Seminole State College. The enrollment period for the first slate of summer courses remains open through May 22. The second slate of summer courses begins June 2 with enrollment through June 5. Course offerings and application information can be found on the College’s website, sscok.edu.

SSC offers a flexible summer schedule for all students, including new and non-degree seeking. Courses are available both in-person and online. Courses include Introduction to Accounting, Art Appreciation, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Personal Finance, General Biology, Principles of Biology, Introduction to Nutrition, Human Anatomy, Human Physiology, Microbiology, Introduction to Microsoft Office, Child Development, Introduction to Early Childhood Education, Introduction to Chemistry, General Chemistry I, Ethics in Criminal Justice, Programming in Visual Basic, Composition I, Composition II, American National Government, American History to 1877, American History Since 1877, Early Western Civilization to 1660, Modern Western Civilization Since 1660, Wellness and Human Development, Sport Communication, Sociology of Sport, Social Science Issues Through Film, Quantitative Reasoning, Elementary Statistics, Pre-Calculus for Engineering, Physics, and

Computer Science, Functions and Modeling, Number Theory for Elementary Teachers, Geometry for Elementary Teachers, Ratios, Probability, and Statistics for Elementary Teachers, Music Appreciation I, Medical Terminology, Astronomy, General Psychology, Psychology of Adjustment, Personality Theories, Developmental Psychology, Introduction to Sociology, Human Sexuality, Speech, and Learning Strategies.

SSC students can receive associate degrees in in several transfer programs including majors in agriculture, art, biology, business, computer science, criminal justice, elementary education, enterprise development business administration, enterprise development general studies, health, physical education and recreation, health sciences, liberal studies, pre-engineering, psychology, secondary education and social sciences.

The College also offers several enter-the-workforce degree programs, including business operations, engineering technology, medical laboratory technology, nursing and physical therapist assistant.
