2026 Scholarship Guide

Key Deadline

The SSC Main Scholarship Application is due March 2. Submit early so you have time to fix missing items (transcripts, counselor verification, etc.).

The Main Scholarship Application (What It Does)

SSC’s Scholarship Application is the main form that helps you be considered for multiple SSC scholarships at once. The full list of scholarships and descriptions is included on the second page of the scholarship application.

Important rules to know

  • Academic and Athletic scholarships can’t be received in the same semester. If multiple awards apply, SSC awards the highest-level scholarship and cancels the others.
  • Many scholarships apply to the in-state portion of tuition only unless stated otherwise.
  • If a scholarship amount is more than your tuition, it will be reduced to match tuition. No refunds are issued for institutional scholarships.
  • Awards depend on available funds, and recipients must be degree-seeking at SSC.

What You Must Submit

To be reviewed, you’ll submit the application plus required attachments. Incomplete applications may not be processed.

Include:

  1. Completed Scholarship Application
  2. Essay (1–2 pages, 12-point font, single-spaced) that explains:
    • Why you should be selected
    • Your academic goals and aspirations
  3. Current transcript(s) (high school and/or college)
  4. ACT scores (if available)
  5. Honors/Accomplishments list (on a separate page)
  6. Any extra items required by specific scholarships (examples listed on the application)

Plan ahead: part of the application requires academic record verification from your high school or college counselor.

FAFSA

SSC encourages students to complete the FAFSA and include Seminole State College’s school code.

SSC school code: 003178

Even if you think you won’t qualify for need-based aid, completing the FAFSA can still help with overall eligibility and financial planning.
