SSC In-Service activities

Faculty and staff at Seminole State College celebrated the beginning of the new academic year with an in-service program built around the theme “Be Incredible.”  Employees gathered Thursday morning for a group photo wearing shirts with a logo specially designed for this year’s activities. The College is currently enrolling for the fall term, which begins Monday, August 13. Late enrollment for students runs through Friday, August 17.

Seminole State College President Lana Reynolds welcomed faculty and staff back on campus Wednesday morning to kick-off the new academic year with an in-service program built around the theme “Be Incredible.”


Faculty and staff members participated in a spin-off of Family Feud during this year’s in-service luncheon where teams from different divisions on campus were pitted against each other in a winner takes all event. Pictured (l-r) are: Paige Ramsey, Upward Bound Coordinator; Brad Schatzel, Business and Education Division Chair; and Christal Knowles, Language Arts and Humanities Division Chair.


As part of this year’s in-service program, guest speaker Lyn Watson, Senior Vice President of Coaching and Training for Strata Leadership, addressed SSC employees about the importance of being present in the workplace, truly noticing those around you and going the extra mile in everything you do.  Faculty and staff also attended sessions about campus safety and student success.
